Dear users of my wordpress plugins,

Almost 3 weeks ago my (desktop) computer broke down, which completely took me by surprise. I had no time to find out what it was and what I had to fix and buy to get it working again. Because I use my laptop solely for business and most of my personal files are situated on a separate partition of one of my desktop harddisks, I also was unable to go look at my plugins. You all have let me know that since the latest Wordpress update, several of my plugins had problems with remembering settings you wish to use. Strangely enough the versions I use on my blog and other blogs do not have that problem, but I definitely want to look into it and fix my plugins so it works on your blogs too.

Because off my busy schedule I was unable to reply to your support requests and other messages.
It might sound strange, but I really regret that too. Even though I am been doing only cool things I love to do more than anything, it still was nothing more than business. Clearly, I need to make some time for my personal life too and this website is a part of that for sure.

Coming week I will check all my personal mail folders and start with all comments that are submitted at my site. After taking a short glance, it could take me a little time to answere you all

I updated my blog to the latest version of wordpress and it worked like a charm … as it should hahaha
After updating the progress of checking compatibility of all plugins and widgets I am using. Like most widgets that enable more instances my own widgets needed an update too

I just finished that job and submitted the new versions of my widgets to the official wordpres SVN repository.
For all people that use Wordpress version 2.2 and one or more of Breukie’s widgets, I strongly suggest to redownload and reinstall my widgets.
I’m very sorry for that, but when wordpress changes things (for the better, omong others widgets are now included in wordpress by default) and it has someting to do with widgets and or plugins … you get the idea

Na weer een gezellig avondje zaterdag in de Jimmy, was er gisteren ook weer een mooi vooruitzicht. Door Finley wordt namelijk om de zoveel tijd een exclusieve beurs georganiseerd voor bedrijven als Porsche, Medisch Centrum Boerhaave en Riva.
Net als vorig jaar waren mijn broertje en ik samen met vrienden en zaken relaties natuurlijk ook weer van de partij
Jammer dat de zon dit keer iets minder van zich liet spreken, maar ik heb weer een top dag gehad in goed gezelschap.

Vandaag daarentegen vooral een joker dag gehad met een hoop (nat) gezeik, ben niet eens in staat geweest om naar de zaak te gaan!

Because I was working on my website anyway, I thought why not release another widget.
Like I told before, I need most widgets in multiple sidebars and sometimes even multiple times in the same sidebar or page. Breukie’s Archives Widget is able to do that
Other than that I added the ability to set all available parameters for the wp_get_archives function and added a title parameter that is able to use HTML for formatting.

Like my other free widgets, it is a pretty straightforward widget, but it will definatally do the trick for you too!

This widget is definatally the simplest widget I have made sofar. Mainly because the get_calendar function only has 1 parameter to set

As most people know, you can only set more widget instances for a couple of default widgets that ship with the widget functions by Automatic. I mostly use more than one sidebar in the themes I make and there must be a lot off other people that use themes with more sidebars. For them and people that just want more instances and options, I also released Breukie’s Calendar Widget for Wordpress. It adds the capability to set the “initial” parameter. If set to true, the day will be displayed using a one-letter initial. If set to false, an abbreviation based on your localization will be used. Other than that I added the ability to set up to 9 instances off this widget and a title parameter where you can use HTML to style your title if needed.

Like my other free widgets, it is a pretty easy widget, but it will definatally do the trick for you too!

Porting my old website to Wordpress is really starting to get shape and resulted in yet another free widget for you to download and use

On this website I (want to) use multiple sidebars for different parts of this website. Because I need to have (multiple) categories on most sidebars too, I needed a way to set up more category instances. Also I needed a couple of parameters in several sidebars and thought of a couple of other blogs and websites based on wordpress, in which I would like to have more category instances and specific cool parameters of the wp_list_categories function, available for their owners. As you might know, the wp_list_categories function only exists in Wordpress version 2.1 and higher, but the parameters for “wp_list_categories()” still act like the tags “list_cats()” and “wp_list_cats()” that are deprecated. It has a couple of different parameters and it includes blogroll link categories.

Like my other free widgets, it is a pretty simple widget, but it will definatally do the trick for you too!

Ik heb behoorlijk moeten bijkomen, maar mijn Koninginnedag was top!
Koninginnenacht begonnen op het Rembrandsplein en omgeving, de nacht verder gevierd in de Escape (dat serieus leuker was dan ik had gedacht), vervolgens een kleine afterparty bij bekenden thuis, uiteindelijk pas rond 09:30 ’s ochtends thuiskomen en tijdens het uitlaten van Bhaska iedereen fris en fruitig hun standje op zien bouwen

Eventjes douchen en een paar uurtjes uitchillen op mijn Chéz Longue voordat we snel weer onder de douche springen om me klaar te maken voor wederom een rondje Amsterdam
Geen idee meer waar ik allemaal precies ben geweest (op een een of andere manier heb ik deze stad nog niet helemaal door en weet ik normaal vaak ook niet waar ik ben), maar ik weet wel dat ik het ernstig naar mijn zin heb gehad.

Thuisgekomen na een hapje gegeten te hebben in een geinig en lekker Spaans restaurantje (redelijk touristisch dat wel), Bhaska uitlaten en tot rond 03:30 ’s nachts doorwerken om nog wat voor een nieuw zakelijk project van ons klaar te krijgen.

Eigenlijk natuurlijk weer lekker slecht geleeft … toch blijft Koninginnedag een heerlijke Nederlandsche Traditie!

Het was me het feestje wel, de Jimmy Woo was eventjes mijn tent!
Samen met mijn twee broertjes en goede vrienden en vriendinnen, heb ik echt een top avond gehad. Een goed begin van de avond en een goed begin van mijn dertigste levensjaar.

Op de foto … ondergetekende met de Nebukadnezar, 15 liter champagne, waar ik overigens dik 30 minuten mee bezig ben geweest om haar open te krijgen hahaha.
Maar daar bleef het niet bij. Naast de aanwezige sushi, wodka, rum en verschillende frisjes, hebben we de avond compleet gemaakt door stiekem nog een Magnum fles Champagne open te trekken. Welke natuurlijk eruit zag als een mini flesje in vergelijking tot de Nebukadnezar

De VIP ruimte in de Jimmy Woo was al snel tot aan de nok gevuld, bruisde van gezelligheid en gaf iedereen de mogelijkheid om kleine uitstapjes te maken naar de dansvloer beneden. Ik kan niet anders zeggen, dan dat ik echt jarig ben geweest, zwaar verwent en hier nog lang van na kan genieten. Dank aan jullie allen!

Big Pimpin’

Sja … en toen was je 30 … chillend op je Chéz Longue na een fijne verjaardag met ouders, broertjes en een aantal goede vrienden.

Een leeftijd dat op een één of andere manier toch aanvoelt als een gedenkwaardig moment, waar je toch even bij stil moet staan. Het woord “volwassen” bijvoorbeeld zeg je ineens niet meer, het is inherent aan je leeftijd.
Voel ik me dan volwassen, beter gezegd wil ik wel “echt” volwassen zijn of moet en kan je ooit volwassen worden?

Ik zit lekker in mijn vel, dus kan me niet echt druk maken om deze filosofische vragen. Wel rede te meer voor een bijzonder feestje, dat morgen/vanavond gaat plaatsvinden en ik ernstig veel zin in heb.

Voor nu … 30 … aardig gek hoor!
